Dr Joyce Omatseye is a medical doctor working in the United Kingdom with a first-class degree in Health Management from Imperial Business School.
Dr Omatseye worked during the COVID-19 pandemic, a challenging time but stimulating time in her career. During this time she used her platform to share her journey, as well as support and educate her community via her instagram signed.drj. Her community has now grown to 41,000 followers.
Dr Omatseye is a strong advocate for mental health, women’s health and representation in medicine. She has collaborated with organizations such as World Health Organisations Africa, Moody Month and Arise News, to ensure men and women are educated and feel empowered making decisions when it comes to their health through educational videos and discussions.
She is the founder of ARA NINI Health, a new initiative that aims to create safe spaces for women to learn and discuss their health. She recently launched this in Lagos Nigeria with over 100 women present. She is also co-founder for Chasing Your Truth that aims to connect, inspire and support women in the healthcare field in all aspects of their lives.
Dr Omatseye is part of the NHS clinical entrepreneurship program, her work/research has been published in respected medical journals and while at Imperial Business school she won the Deans Community Prize alongside her colleagues.
She has strong interests in health education, digital health, public health and her ultimate drive is to help to reduce inequalities and improve access & quality of healthcare globally.
