Liyana is a Group Communications Manager at a global supply chain solutions provider, where she leads strategic communications initiatives and drives communications for global programmes.

With a cross-functional background in engineering and finance, she seamlessly blends analytical rigour with creative storytelling to drive meaningful change. Her journey from freelancing as a content writer for international clients to holding diverse roles in financial services and consultancy has shaped her into a strategic communications professional who navigates technical complexities while championing diversity and inclusion at every level. Passionate about social impact, Liyana mentors graduates, especially women in underrepresented fields, helping them navigate their careers with confidence. She currently sits on the Future Leaders Shadow Board of Women in Banking & Finance – UK, advocating for equity in the financial services sector. She has proactively led programmes to foster community engagement and shape strategies that promote inclusivity across the financial sector. Her influence extends globally through her involvement with international networks such as IEEE and Lean In, where she has spearheaded initiatives encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM and leadership positions. Selected as a delegate for the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), she continues to advocate for broader representation and challenge the status quo.
