Ama Ofori | Head of Functional and Business Management, Barclays
Ama is the Head of Head of Functional and Business Management in Barclays Internal Audit and a co-chair for Win UK – the Employee Gender Resource Group in Barclays.
Ama is a trained engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the financial services sector. Her innate drive to solve problems enables her to focus on streamlining services, processes and tools to enable teams to work effectively. As the Head of Functional and Business Management, Ama collaborates across the Group to drive the strategy for resourcing & finance, governance, tooling and reporting through to boards and various committees. Ama’s experience spans leadership in operational management, strategy definition and implementation, governance, agile product ownership, project management, and technology & management information systems. Prior to joining Barclays, Ama worked with various engineering firms as a Project Manager and Business Analyst. Ama also holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Imperial College, London and an Executive MBA degree from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
Outside of work, Ama enjoys singing in a choir, providing career coaching, and mentoring teenagers in her community.
