Growing up in Devon I had always wanted to move to London and I did just that after I graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting. I began my career at the BBC, starting as a commercial assistant in comedy pitching programs for investment opportunities before moving into News where I scheduled; ensuring staffing and resource requirements were met for broadcast. The role of PA to the Head of World Service News was advertised internally and I was thrilled to accept the position. After 18 months in that role, I was excited to be offered a role at Google UK (on behalf of Career Moves) covering maternity leave as an engineering administrator, looking after one engineering director and two heads. From Google I undertook a series of contract positions including at EE as PA to the Chief of HR and at BBC Worldwide where I was made a permanent member of staff after 6 weeks.
I have been in my current position at Westminster City Council for over 20 months where I am the Executive Assistant to the Bi-Borough Director for Corporate Services. I was recently accepted as Fellow member of the Executive and Personal Assistants Association and last year I was delighted to be nominated and become one of 6 finalists for PA of the Year 2017 at Executive PA Media. I am known for my sense of humor and planning skills, both of which I find equally important to be successful in my role.
