I grew up in the restaurant business. My father ran one of the first vegetarian restaurants in London.
Ever since I was a child, I would spend my evenings and weekends in the restaurant, always delivering great customer service. Despite a love for hospitality (I honestly didn’t even know studying this was an option), I chose to study journalism at university, with a vision of becoming a print journalist! Little did I know the world was entering the age of online media! Post-graduation I joined Virgin Active, and soon moved to Hilton Hotels, working on capex projects and hotel refurbishments across EMEAA. In 2018 I joined IHG Hotels & Resorts working in Global Strategy and later moved across to Development Marketing working across all IHG’s brands. I then took the opportunity to embark on a secondment with IHG’s voco brand team, which eventually resulted in a permanent role offer working in Brand Operations. 12 months later we are here, and most recently I have been promoted with a broader remit of Brand Operations and Brand Management.
