I was born and raised in Ireland. I have always been very driven, inclusionary and socially active, as well as competitive – representing Ireland in International Acrobatics and Tumbling Gymnastics from a young age. I gradually transitioned my focus from sports to academics and graduated first in my school in 2008.

At university (Limerick, Ireland), I undertook a BA in International Insurance with European Studies and French. During the four years of my degree, I studied different areas of the insurance industry, including underwriting, risk management, statistics, captives, reinsurance/ART markets, interest research topics, as well as spending a semester studying in Lille, France.

I have always believed in hard work, undertaking any and every type job since I was 14 years old. My aim was always to build my independence and improve my mind to pave the way for future successes of my own making.

I joined the Zurich Global Corporate graduate scheme in 2012 and relocated to England, primarily attracted by the opportunity for exposure to the specialised nature of the London market, the chance to gain an understanding of the irregularities of specific markets globally and the complexities involved in corporate insurance programmes. Throughout my time in Zurich, I was employed in Multinational Operation, Broker Development, Energy Underwriting and Underwriting services before moving (across the road) to AIG in May 2016 as a Multinational Client Executive.

Unfortunately, before commencing my new role, I was in an accident and broke both of my ankles several times! Hence, I had a delayed, unique and slightly notorious introduction to the company (in support boots and crutches!)  Nevertheless, I quickly settled in well at AIG, taking on major global accounts, building my own network and gaining a reputation for stubbornness, inquisitiveness and a strong advocate of camaraderie.
