I am a novelist, poet, freelance writer and editor, SMO consultant, blogger, and a certified astrologer. Born and raised in Rupai Siding (Dist. Tinsukia), Assam, I completed my schooling (Don Bosco School, Rupai Siding) and graduation (Women’s College, Tinsukia) from my birthplace and postgraduation in English from the University of Pune. Thereafter I taught in schools and in Doom Dooma College in Assam on a temporary basis.
I shifted base to Delhi in 2003, starting as a trainee editor for Dhillon Group of Publications (Nehru Place), where I did three collaborative authorship projects. I also worked as an Editor for UBS Publishers and Distributors (Daryaganj). After my marriage with Yogaditya Singh Rawal, an ISSA-USA certified fitness trainer, national level competitive bodybuilder, and writer from Ghaziabad, I changed my vocation from full-time editor/writer to freelancing. As a freelance writer, I wrote SEO articles for Eureka Forbes, General Motors (Chevrolet brand of vehicles), Nirmal Bang (stock broking firm), microsoftstore.com, Apollo DKV, Plan India (a charitable organization), Health PA (a healthcare firm), Airtel, Reuters India, Bikanervala, Dominos, The Lalit, Uninor, Latitude 30, Kittyu Dance Club, and many more on diverse industry segments via a third party outsourcing agency.
Presently, I am the Senior Editor of Business Sphere Magazine, Adviser and Content/SMO Consultant for Pii India Tour and Travels, Content Consultant for M/S Security Agency, and SEO writer for few more organizations. I have recently set up a blogazine called myindiamyglory.com that sings about India, from ancient to present.
I am the co-founder of ‘We Are With You’, an NGO involved in various activities related to women empowerment, hygiene and sanitation, creation of awareness programs in villages amongst women on health, education, and social issues, and related paraphernalia in remote villages in the district of Tinsukia, Assam. Currently, the NGO is run by Manomi Sinha, my sister.
I have written three novels – ‘Made for Each Other’, a romantic novel; ‘The Stigma of Womanhood’, a social novel; and ‘The Eighth Avatar’, the first book of Krishn Trilogy that delves on Krishn beyond myths. The second book of the Krishn Trilogy series, ‘Blue Vanquisher’, will be released by the beginning of next year. One of my collaborative authorship works – ‘English Improvement Course’, published by Delhi-based Dhillon Group of Publications, is a best seller. Publication of an anthology of my poems is in the offing.
